Amazon Studios is developing the Spider-Man Noir live-action series and has now roped in The Punisher's Steve Lightfoot as co-showrunner, as per a report on Variety

The studios reportedly began developing the show back in February. Serving alongside Lightfoot as co-showrunner will be Oren Uziel, who is also the writer of the project. He will also serve as executive producer.

Set in the 1930s, the Spider-Man Noir series will revolve around an older and grizzled superhero in New York City. It will reportedly be set in a unique universe, where the character will not play Peter Parker.

Lightfoot has previously worked on Marvel's The Punisher. The series ran for two seasons and was later pulled back by Marvel. The series starred Jon Bernthal. His other work credits include Hannibal, Narcos and Behind Her Eyes
