On Tuesday, the teaser trailer of The Book of Clarence was unveiled. The film is all set to hit theatres on January 12, 2024. 

The teaser trailer tells the tale of Clarence, a resident of Jerusalem, who, after witnessing the followership of Jesus, attempts to capitalise on the rise of a messiah and the trust of the people of his place, for his own personal gains. 

While LaKeith Stanfield plays the role of Clarence, the film also stars Omar Sy, RJ Cyler, Benedict Cumberbatch, James McAvoy, Anna Diop, Teyana Taylor, David Oyelowo, Alfre Woodard, and Marianne Jean Baptiste. Jeymes Samuel is directing the film along with penning the original screenplay. He will also double up as a composer.  The Book of Clarence has costumes designed by Antoinette Messam and cinematography handled by Rob Hardy. Tom Eagles is the editor.

The film, produced by Columbia Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is distributed by Sony Pictures.
