The Book of Clarence release date changed

The Book of Clarence, the upcoming film which was set to hit the theatres on September 22, will now be arriving on January 12, 2024. The first looks of the film were released by Vanity Fair.

The film, produced by Columbia Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is distributed by Sony Pictures.

With the film in post-production stages, the film is set in biblical times and will tell the story of Clarence, a resident of Jerusalem who attempts to capitalise on the rise of celebrity and the influence of the Messiah for his personal gain.

While LaKeith Stanfield plays the role of Clarence, the film also stars Omar Sy, RJ Cyler, Benedict Cumberbatch, James McAvoy, Anna Diop, Teyana Taylor, David Oyelowo, Alfre Woodard, and Marianne Jean Baptiste. Jeymes Samuel is directing the film along with penning the original screenplay. He will also double up as composer.  The Book of Clarence has costumes designed by Antoinette Messam and cinematography handled by Rob Hardy. Tom Eagles is the editor.
