Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim released moved to December 2024

With a slew of Hollywood big ticket films getting delayed, thr latest to the addition is the upcoming animated feature Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. The film, which was supposed to hit the theatres in March 2024, will now release on December 13, 2024.

The fantasy action film id directed by Kenji Kamiyama with Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews penning the screenplay. Philippa Boyens has co-written the Lord of the Rings film, will serve as consultant. The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim will be set 183 years before the events of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers with the central character being King Helm Hammerhand.

Brian Cox, Gaia Wise, Luke Pasqualino, Laurence Ubong Williams, Shaun Dooley, Miranda Otto, Lorraine Ashbourne, Yazdan Qafouri, Benjamin Wainwright, Michael Wildman, Jude Akuwudike, Bilal Hasna, and Janine Duvitski are part of the voice cast.
