Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire release postponed

Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, the upcoming sequel of Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), which was scheduled to hit the theatres on March 14, 2024, has been postponed by a month. The film will now arrive on April 12, 2024.

The delay comes due to the ongoing Hollywood strikes, which will deny the actors to do promotions for the films. Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire stars Dan Stevens, Rebecca Hall, and Brian Tyree Henry among others. Adam Wingard directs the sequel.

A fifth installment in the  Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse, 38th in Godzilla franichise ans 13th in King Kong franchise, the upcoming will pit King Kong against Godzilla, their histories and origins, and focus on the mythic battle between the two.                

Legendary Pictures is backing the film with Warner Bros. Pictures as the distributors.
