Apple TV+ released the trailer of its upcoming drama series titled The Changeling. The eight-part series stars Academy Award nominee LaKeith Stanfield, who also will serve as executive producer of the show. The Changeling will make its debut with the first three episodes on September 8, followed by one new episode every Friday through October 13.

The series is based on the bestselling book of the same name by Victor LaValle. The makers describe The Changeling as a “fairytale for grown-ups” and “a horror story, a parenthood fable and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you didn’t know existed”.

The series cast comprises of Clark Backo, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder, Jared Abrahamson, among others. It is written and adapted by show runner and executive producer Kelly Marcel, and the pilot episode was directed by Melina Matsoukas.

The series is produced by Apple Studios and Annapurna.
