Apple TV+ cancels City on Fire after first season 

The series was adapted from the novel of the same name, penned by Garth Risk Hallberg

City on Fire, the crime drama series by Apple TV+, has been cancelled by the streaming platform after its first season. The show starred actors Wyatt Oleff and Chase Sui Wonders in the lead roles.

 It is to be noted that the first season, which consisted of eight episodes, aired about a month back. However, the response to the series was not in favour of the makers. The series was adapted from the novel of the same name, penned by Garth Risk Hallberg.

City on Fire had Josh Schwartz serving as the creator and was set against the aftermath of the murder of university student. The probe eventually discovers that her death is connected to a rebellious group.

The ensemble cast of the series included Jemima Kirke, Nico Tortorella, Kathleen Munroe, Omid Abtahi, Xavier Clyde, Beth Malone, among others.
