Filmmaker Christopher Landon, who has previously helmed Happy Death Day series and Freaky, is set to direct the seventh installment of Scream 7.

It is to be noted that Christopher takes over the mantle from Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who are known as Radio Silence and directed last two installments. However, the duo will serve as executive producers for Scream 7 along with Chad Villella.

Scream 7 will be distributed by Paramount and according to reports, no writers have been attached due to the ongoing Writers Guild strike. The last installment of Scream VI released in 2023. The slasher film starred  Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Hayden Panettiere, and Courteney Cox, among others. It was written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.
