Smile sequel in works at Paramount Pictures

A sequel of the 2022 supernatural horror film Smile, is in the making, at the Paramount Pictures. The announcement was made during the CinemaCon presentation of the studio.

The film revolves around therapist Rose Cotter, who begins to experience haunting instances after she gets to witness suicide of her patient. The film, directed by Parker Finn, stars Sosie Bacon as the therapist, along with  Jessie T Usher, Kyle Gallner, Kal Penn, and Rob Morgan. Smile went on to become a commercial success. However, more details on the cast of the sequel and if Parker will be at the helm of it or the cast members will reprise the roles.

Meanwhile, Paramount is working on horror project A Quiet Place: Day One which will release in theatres in 2024.
