The sequel of the 2004 Vince Vaughn-starrer Dodgeball is in the works. The lead of the original is said to return to reprise his role in the sequel as well. Jordan VanDina is set to pen the script. While Rawson Marshall Thurber helmed the original feature, no director has been announced for the sequel, same as the cast.

While Vaugh played the role of Peter in the original, the cast of the original Dodgeball included Christine Taylor, Ben Stiller, White Goodman, Rip Torn, Justin Long, Stephen Root, Alan Tudyk, Jason Bateman, and Julie Gonzalo among others.

The 2004 Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story followed the owner of Average Joe's Gym, Peter La Fleur, and its members and employees. They enter a dodgeball contest with a big cash prize to save the gym from their competitor Globo-Gym. The other gym is run by White Goodman, who forms his own Globo-Gym team to rout the competition.

Vaugh and VanDina will be collaborating for the second time with the Dodgeball sequel after they previously worked together on the 2020 comedy, The Binge
