Ana de Armas confirms she will not be playing Wonder Woman

As Peter Safran and James Gunn are restructuring the DC Universe, Ana de Armas was asked if she will be taking over the role of Wonder Woman from Gal Gadot. 

Speaking in the Wired Auto Complete Interview, "Well, I feel like Gal Gadot is doing a great job. I think she should keep doing that."

The future of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the DC Universe has been a question mark ever since the third instalment of the Patty Jenkins film was scrapped. In Shazam! Fury of the Gods, however, was seen reprising her role of Diana Prince. 

The first Wonder Woman film came out in 2017 and was based on the DC Comics character of the same name. In 2020, the sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, was set in 1984 during the Cold War. The film followed Diana and her past love Steve Trevor as they faced off against Maxwell Lord and Cheetah.
