James Gunn has provided updates on his work on the upcoming Superman film that he is writing and directing. On Superman’s anniversary, which falls on April 17, Gunn took to social media and posted images of his script for Superman: Legacy.

He later revealed his pick for the technical crew of the film. Most of them had worked with him on earlier projects like The Suicide Squad and GOTG. Production Designer Beth Mickle, known for films like Drive, GOTG Vol.3, along with casting director John Papsidera (Oppenheimer, Yellowstone), Judianna Makovsky (Avengers: Endgame, Infinity War, Harry Potter, Captain America), producer Charles Roven (Zack Snyder’s DC films) have been added to the technical crew of Superman: Legacy

Production Designer Beth Mickle is also currently working on Francis Ford Coppola’s self-funded sci-fi epic Megalopolis.  As for the casting of Superman himself, James Gunn might be closer to the answer than ever before. During an interaction with a fan on Twitter, Gunn talked positively about the choices in hand. He said, “Yes we have some incredible choices. I’m incredibly excited, and relieved.”

Meanwhile, his upcoming film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 is currently scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on May 5.
