Michael Fassbender, Domhnall Gleeson and Ruth Negga are all set to star in Night Boat To Tangier, the film adaptation of Kevin Barry's novel. Helmed by James Marsh, Ashok Amritraj Studio will present the film to global buyers at the Cannes Marche Du Film next month.

Night Boat to Tangier is set in Spain and Ireland. It follows Maurice and Charlie, a pair of gangsters, drug smugglers and partners with a long history of violence and intertwined personal lives, from Ireland. They're back in Spain to revisit old haunts, flames and dangerous local criminals as they search for Maurice's estranged daughter.

While Fassbender plays Maurice Hearne, Gleeson will essay the role of Charlie Redmond, his partner. Negga plays Cynthia, the brains behind the operation and a woman who has a turbulent relationship with both men. More details about the film are yet to come from the makers.

Meanwhile, Michael Fassbender will next be seen in The Killer on Netflix and Next Goal Wins helmed by Taika Waititi. Gleeson will be seen in Echo Valley opposite Sydney Sweeney and Julianne Moore, and also in White House Plumbers. Negga will be seen in Presumed Innocent, Daniel Levy's Good Grief and Monstrous Beauty along with Bella Ramsey.
