Apple TV+ releases first look of dark comedy series High Desert

The series which stars Patricia Arquette, and executive producer, will debut on May 17

The first look poster and the release date of High Desert, the upcoming dark comedy series were revealed by Apple TV+. The series which stars Patricia Arquette, and executive producer, will debut on May 17 with three episodes, followed by new episodes weekly every Wednesday.

The series also features Matt Dillon, Christine Taylor, Weruche Opia, Brad Garrett, Bernadette Peters and Rupert Friend. Directed by Jay Roach, and created by Nancy Fichman, Katie Ford and Jennifer Hoppe, each episode will last for half hour.

High Desert follows Peggy, an on-again-off-again addict who decides to make a new start after the death of her beloved mother, with whom she lived in the small desert town of Yucca Valley, California, and makes a life-changing decision to become a private investigator,” reads the logline.

It is backed by Apple Studios, Red Hour Films, 3 Arts Entertainment and Delirious Media. Ben Stiller serves as executive producer.

It is to be noted that High Desert reunites Ben and Patricia after Severance, Escape at Dannemora and Flirting with Disaster.
