Footprints On Water, the upcoming British feature starring Adil Hussain, will premiere at the UK Asian Film Festival in London on May 13. The film will be screened as part of the 25th Silver Jubilee Programme, the actor revealed on social media.

Footprints On Water marks the directorial debut of Nathalia Syam. Also starring Nimisha Sajayan, Lena Kumar and British actor Antonio Akeel, the film is produced by Mohaan Nadaar. Resul Pookutty is the sound designer.

The gritty, realistic drama charts the travails of Raghu, an illegal immigrant in the UK, after his daughter goes missing. Adil plays the father while Nimisha and Lena essay the daughter and stepmom, respectively. The film is set in Birmingham.

“Nathalia is exceptionally clear about what she wants in terms of the look, emotion, and perspective of the character, while also being open to the actor’s angle,” Lena earlier said to CE.
