Adam Driver to headline Heat sequel?

The 1995 film Heat, directed by Michael Mann, starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in the lead roles, is getting a sequel at Warner Bros. American Magazine Deadline confirmed the news. Speculations are rife that actor Adam Driver will play the film's lead role.

Heat follows the story of master criminal Neil McCauley( Robert De Niro) and Lieutenant Hanna (Al Pacino) as they try to thwart each other's plan amid their chaotic life. 

Michael Mann has recently published a book credited as the sequel of the film titled Heat 2, and the book went on to become a No. 1 New York Times bestseller. The book is penned by Mann and Meg Gardiner, and it tells the story of everything that happens before and after the main characters. 

As per reports, Adam Driver will be playing the young Neil McCauley. Sources say that WB is negotiating to fund the project's development, and Warner Bros and Mann are yet to respond.
