Money Heist spin-off series Berlin to go on floors from October 3 in Paris

The spin-off series of Spanish heist thriller drama Money Heist, Berlin, which is based on one of its characters by the same name, will go on floors from October 3.

The series will feature Pedro Alonso, who played jewel thief Andrés de Fonollosa or Berlin, in the Money Heist series as well. Along with him, the series will also feature Michelle Jenner (as electronics specialist Keila), Tristan Ulloa (Berlin's confidant), Julio Pena Fernandez, Joel Sanchez, Begona Vargas, among others.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, creators Esther Martinez Lobato and Alex Pina, who made Money Heist, said, "We loved the idea of introducing a new gang around Berlin in a completely different emotional state." The duo also wrote the eight episodes of the first season, along with David Oliva and David Berrocal. Albert Pintó, Barrocal and Geoffrey Cowper are directing.

Berlin will go on floors on October 3 in Paris and will be in production in Madrid and French as well.
