Marvel Studios has reportedly hired Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer to write the new Fantastic Four film. Apparently, the writing duo have been brought on board before Matt Shakman was announced as the director and have been working on the outline for the script. 

At the Disney fan expo D23, which concluded recently, Marvel Boss Kevin Feige announced their plans to introduce the Fantastic Four into the MCU and confirmed Star Trek 4 director Matt Shakman as the director.

The writing duo will reportedly work on the script while Feige and Shakman will audition for actors for the ensemble superhero film. The upcoming Fantastic Four film will kick-off the phase 6 of the Marvel films and will be a complete reboot of the Fantastic Four franchise.

The film is currently scheduled to release on 8 November 2024 and will be followed by two Avengers films titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty on 2 May  2025 and Avengers: Secret Wars shortly afterward.
