Invincible wraps up production on season 2

Khary Payton, who plays Black Samson in Invincible, has provided a new update on the series. According to the actor, the Invincible team has finished the voice recording for season 2 and has already started working on the third season.

The series is based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. Kirkman is also known for co-creating The Walking Dead comic book series. The animated superhero show was developed for Amazon’s Prime Video platform by Robert Kirkman. 

The series stars Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, and J. K. Simmons in primary roles along with Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Walton Goggins, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Zazie Beetz in supporting roles. 

The first season, which comprises of eight episodes, premiered on 25 March 2021 and became an instant success. Following the overwhelmingly positive reviews, Prime Video renewed the series for a season 2 and 3 in April 2021. The makers are yet to announce a release date for the upcoming seasons.
