The first season of The Boys spinoff titled Gen V has just wrapped filming. The makers have announced the end of production through a tweet. The official tweet also went on to state that the end of production does not mean that they have a concrete release date for the series.

The superhero television series follows the lives of teenagers with superpowers who get trained in a college similar to Xavier’s academy for gifted youngsters in the Xmen. The show will satirise the concept of individuals with extraordinary powers and how that power changes the way they view normal people.

The fictional mega-corporation from The Boys series Vought International has created a school for superheroes known as Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, where the story takes place.

The Amazon Prime Video show stars Jaz Sinclair, Lizzie Broadway, Chance Perdomo, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Shelley Conn along with Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, Alexander Calvert, and Marco Pigossi.

The show is based on characters created by Garth Ennis and illustrated by Darick Robertson. Frequent collaborators Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters are credited as showrunners.
