New House of the Dragon promo shows first look at Aegon Targaryen

Tom Glynn-Carney, known for his appearances in the 2017 film Dunkirk and author J R R Tolkien’s biopic titled Tolkien, will essay the role of Aegon II Targaryen in the show

Following the release of episode 5 of House of the Dragon, HBO released the promo for next week’s episode which gives us the first look at prince Aegon Targaryen. The promo also revealed Aemond, the younger brother and the second son of king Viserys Targaryen.

The fifth episode of the first season of the Game of Thrones prequel series was released on Monday. The episode revolved around Rhaenyra’s wedding to Laenor Velaryon in order to mend the broken relationship between house Targaryen and house Velaryon but things take a chaotic turn towards the end.

Tom Glynn-Carney, known for his appearances in the 2017 film Dunkirk and author J R R Tolkien’s biopic titled Tolkien, will essay the role of Aegon II Targaryen in the show. Ewan Mitchell, known for Just Charlie and World on Fire, will play Aemond Targaryen. The upcoming episode will also introduce the older versions of Rhaenyra and Alicent, to be played by Emma D’ Arcy and Olivia Cooke respectively.
