Season 16 of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia is to begin filming by end of this year

Danny Devito, who plays Frank Reynolds in It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, confirmed that the show will begin shooting its 16th season by the end of this year. Charlie Day, who plays Charlie Kelly in the show, earlier hinted that the show might end with its sixteenth season.

According to Devito, the show will start filming in the winter and will most likely air anywhere between September, October, and November of next year. Rob McElhenney, who plays Ronald Mac MacDonald in the show, created It’s Always Sunny… and developed it along with Glenn Howerton, who also plays Dennis Reynolds in the show. The show originally started airing in 2005 on FX before moving to FXX from its ninth season.

Apart from the above-mentioned cast members, the series also stars Kaitlin Olson, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, David Hornsby, Artemis Pebdani, Artemis Pebdani, and Brittany Daniel in recurring roles. 

The show released its eight-episode 15th season on 22 December 2021. Although there are speculations that the show might end with the upcoming season, the makers have not released an official statement to confirm the news.
