Trailer out for Amazon Prime Video’s sci-fi series The Peripheral starring Chloe Grace Moretz

The first official trailer for Prime Video’s upcoming sci-fi series is titled The Peripheral. The series is executive produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. The creative duo previously worked on HBO’s sci-fi series Westworld. The Peripheral is based on the bestselling series of the same name by celebrated writer William Gibson.

The series follows a young woman who lives in a small, unassuming town. Her life changes forever when she starts using a virtual reality game. Things take a chaotic turn when she finds out that what she was playing was actually not a game and is happening for real. 

Scott Smith, known for A Simple Plan and The Ruins, is roped in as the creator of the show. The cast of the series includes Chloë Grace Moretz, Gary Carr, Jack Reynor, Eli Goree, Charlotte Riley, JJ Feild, Louis Herthum, and Chris Coy.

The production of the series ended in November of 2021. The series is currently scheduled to stream on Prime Video on 21 October 2022.
