Amazon Prime Video released the teaser of Emily Blunt’s upcoming drama series The English. Also co-starring Chaske Spencer, the series is set to premiere on November 11 in US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the Nordics on Prime Video, following its November 10 UK premiere on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.

The series is six episodes long.

The English will also make its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival as their series special presentation on Sunday, October 15. The series is co-produced by Amazon Studios and BBC, in association with All3Media International.

According to the note shared by the makers, The English takes the core themes of identity and revenge to talk about race, power, and love. Created by writer and director Hugo Blick, the film follows an aristocratic Englishwoman, Lady Cornelia Locke (Blunt), and a Pawnee ex-cavalry scout, Eli Whipp (Spencer), who come together in 1890 middle America to cross a violent landscape built on dreams and blood. The series’ ensemble cast includes Rafe Spall, Tom Hughes, Toby Jones, and Ciarán Hinds.

Backed by Drama Republic Ltd and Eight Rooks Ltd, Emily Blunt is the executive producer, alongside Greg Brenman.
