Filmmaker Rian Johnson has revealed the sexuality of detective Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig in Knives Out and its sequel, Glass Onion. While there have been fan theories that Benoit is queer, Johnson confirmed them during a recent press conference at London Film Festival.

During the press conference, when asked if this scene means Benoit Blanc is gay, Johnson responded with, "Yes, he obviously is." Speaking about the actor who portrays Blanc's lover, Johnson added, "And there's nobody in the world I can imagine in bringing me more joy for Benoit Blanc to be with."
