Jamie Lee Curtis has revealed that she would love to be a part of a sequel to Freaky Friday. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan starred as mother and daughter who swap bodies overnight and must deal with their differences in the 2003 fantasy-comedy. The film was directed by Mark Walters, who would go on to direct Lindsay Lohan again in the 2004 hit teen comedy Mean Girls.

The actor revealed her interest in coming back for a sequel while at the premiere of Rian Johnson’s upcoming film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Lindsay Lohan has also come out expressing her interest in reprising her role for the sequel. Although no official confirmation has been released, Curtis assures that they are in talks to develop the film.

She said, “We're talking. People are talking. The right people are talking . . . We (she and Lohan) are both committed to it. It's not ours to make -- it's Disney's to make, and I think they're interested. And we are talking.”

Freaky Friday is a remake of the film of the same name which was released in 1976, which again is an adaptation of a book. The 2003 film became a massive box office success and was generally well-received by the critics. Over the years, it has garnered a cult following among the fans and the interest in a sequel has also increased after Lohan’s return to acting after years of hiatus.
