British actor-singer Hannah Waddingham, best known for her role as Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso series, is set to star in Ryan Gosling's upcoming adventure film The Fall Guy.

Besides Ryan and Hannah, the film also stars Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Stephanie Hsu and Winston Duke. The Fall Guy is inspired by the 1980s TV series by the same name. The new film is directed by filmmaker David Leitch, who has previously helmed Bullet Train. With the shooting underway in Australia, the script is penned by Drew Pearce.

The film will take a plot detour from its 80s version and will show Ryan as a stuntsman who is back in the movies with a star for whom the former doubled and was replaced with. As the star goes missing, Hannah will play the producer of the film, while Winston will essay the role of stuntsman's best friend. Stephanie and Blunt are cast as star's assistant and make-up artist respectively.

The Fall Guy is produced by Kelly McCormick and David under 87North banner, Ryan and Entertainment 360's Guymon Casady.
