Alexis Rodney joins Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen

Alexis Rodney has been cast in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming series for Netflix titled The Gentlemen. He is known for appearing in films like Guardians of the Galaxy and Outlander, he is also set to appear in the upcoming feature-length adaptation of the popular tabletop game Dungeons and Dragons.

The series is based on Guy Ritchie’s 2019 gangster drama The Gentlemen which starred Charlie Hunnam, Matthew McConaughey, and Colin Farrell. The series will follow a different set of characters and will not include the main cast from the film as of now. It was recently announced that Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito was joining the cast along with Vinnie Jones who previously collaborated with Ritchie in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. 

Theo James, best known for starring in the Divergent film series, will lead the series. The cast of the series also includes Kaya Scodelario, Joely Richardson, and Peter Serafinowicz. The series will follow Theo James’ character as he finds out that the massive estate he inherited from his father has one of the largest marijuana farms in the country.

It was previously announced that the series will have eight episodes. Guy Ritchie will direct two episodes in the series, the filming is currently underway in the UK. The director has co-written the pilot episode along with Peaky Blinders screenwriter Matthew Read, who also acts as an executive producer along with Guy Ritchie.
