Alex Wolff joins cast of Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer

The biopic on J Robert Oppenheimer, one of the fathers of the atom bomb, stars Cillian Murphy as the titular physicist

Alex Wolff, who was recently seen in M Night Shyamalan's Old and Nicolas Cage's Pig, is the latest actor to join the cast of Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer.

Already billed as one of the biggest multi-starrers, the biopic on J Robert Oppenheimer, one of the fathers of the atom bomb, stars Cillian Murphy as the titular physicist.

The film also stars Robert Downey Jr, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Benny Safdie, Josh Hartnett, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Alden Ehrenreich, David Krumholtz and David Dastmalchian among others.

The filming of Oppenheimer is currently underway in New Mexico. The Nolan directorial is the adaptation of Kai Bird and Martin J Sherwin's book, American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J Robert Oppenheimer. The film, backed by Universal Pictures, is expected to hit the screens on July 21, 2023.
