Director Ayan Mukerji has expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic reaction to the Brahmastra trailer. Released on Wednesday, the film's Hindi trailer has crossed 25 million views on Star Studios' YouTube channel. It was also widely watched on Dharma Productions and Sony Music India's YouTube channels. 

Brahmāstra is a superhero fantasy franchise starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna. The first part, Shiva, is releasing in theatres on September 9. 

In a statement posted on social media, Ayan shared, "Hello everyone, Yesterday was a very very big moment in the Brahmastra journey with the launch of our Trailer. A deeply heartfelt THANK You for the love, encouragement and excitement that the Trailer is receiving. It means... everything to me."

The director said he feels 'energised' as the long-gestating film heads towards release. "We will give all that energy and more... our absolute best - to give you guys - a new amazing cinematic experience with Brahmastra.... one that I hope you will feel proud of! September 9th - Here we come!”.
