Addams Family spin-off Wednesday and The Munsters to release on Netflix

Rob Zombie’s feature-length adaptation of the 1964 television series The Munsters and Addams Family spin-off Wednesday are both confirmed to premiere on Netflix by the end of this year. Director Rob Zombie confirmed the news by releasing The Munsters and Wednesday posters side by side on his Instagram page. 

Both the Munsters and Addams Family originally released in the 1960s and were both horror-themed comedies. The Munsters (2022) is a feature-length adaptation of the 1960's sitcom while Wednesday is a series that focuses on the Wednesday Addams character from the Addams Family.

Tim Burton, known for directing Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas, is brought on to direct Wednesday. 

Over the years, both the franchises have expanded into multiple films and series with both live-action and animated versions. Rob Zombie’s The Munsters and Tim Burton’s Wednesday are both live-action adaptations and are set to premiere on Netflix by the end of 2022.
