Dune: Part Two gets a new release date

The second part of Dune, the epic science fiction, has got a new release date. The film’s release has been pushed to November 17, 2023, from October 20, 2023.

According to a report by Variety, directed by Denis Villeneuve, the Dune sequel will feature Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem. Actors Florence Pugh, Austin Butler and Christopher Walken will also join the cast. Dune: Part Two will release in theatres alongside the Hunger Games prequel: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and Trolls 3.

Meanwhile, the sequel to Godzilla vs Kong is slated to hit theatres on March 15, 2024. It may be noted that the upcoming sequel will mark the fifth instalment of Warner Bros.

Reports noted that Warner Bros top the priority list for access to the Imax screens on the scheduled release date. The team is planning to shoot Dune: Part Two in Budapest. The first part of Dune was the highest-grossing title under Warner Bros. For Dune,  Hans Zimmer won his second Academy Award for Best Original Score in almost thirty years following the first win for The Lion King (1995).
