Actor Violet Young has joined the cast of Amy Schumer's series Life & Beth. The actor will play a younger version of Schumer's character in the series.

Life & Beth is written, directed, executive produced and headlined by Schumer. The story follows the titular Beth (Schumer), who makes a living in Manhattan as a wine distributor. She’s in a long-term relationship with an attractive, successful guy, and everything seems to be going well until a sudden incident forces Beth to engage with her past. Through flashbacks to her teen self, Beth starts to learn how she became who she is and who she wants to become. The show takes the audience on Beth's inward journey, where she learns to express herself and in living in an intentional way.

The show has Michael Rapaport playing teenage Beth’s father. Schumer executive produces the series alongside Kevin Kane, Daniel Powell and Ryan McFaul.
