Pachinko first look out: Lee Min-Ho’s show is set to stream on this date on Apple TV+

Lee Min-ho’s first collaboration with the streaming platform Apple TV+ Pachinko’s first look and release date was released by the makers on January 27. The second Korean original to be released on the platform after Dr Brain, Pachinko is slated to premiere on March 25 with its first three episodes. The broadcast will continue until April 29 with one new episode every week. 

Pachinko will release in three languages — Korean, Japanese and English —  and is based on the New York Times best selling novel of the same name penned by Lee Min-jin.

The story is set between 1910 and 1945, when Korea was under the control of Japan. It centers on a love story destroyed by war, and misunderstandings. The show also portrays the obstacles faced by Koreans who lived in Japan during this period. 

Pachinko stars Youn Yuh-jung, Kim Min-ha, Noh Sang-Hyun, Jung Eun-chae, Kaho Minami and Soji Arai in addition to Lee Min-ho. The book is adapted for the screen by Soo Hugh, and is directed by Kogonada and Justin Chon.
