Angourie Rice, Gaten Matarazzo, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse join Honor Society

The list of actors joining Awesomeness Films' Honor Society seems to be increasing each day. It has come to light now that Mare of Easttown and Spider-Man: No Way Home actor Angourie Rice has signed on to portray the role of title character, Honor. Stranger Things and Prank Encounters actor Gaten Matarazzo and Super Bad’s Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Amy Keum (What a Drag, Evil) and Armani Jackson (Chad, Grey’s Anatomy) have also joined the project.

The film tells the story of high school senior, Honor, who, striving to be the best in her studies and in the pursuit of a Harvard dream. She needs to get a letter of recommendation from the school’s guidance counsellor,  Calvin (Mintz-Plasse) to reach her goal. But, Honor’s plan gets flipped upside down when she begins to develop romantic feelings for her biggest foe, Michael (Matarazzo).

Family Guy and The Orville writer David A Goodman has penned the script for the film which is planned to get a release on Paramount+ by the end of 2022. Oran Zegman of Marriage Material fame is set to direct the film with The J Team’s Ron French as executive producer.
