Lyric Ross on board Marvel's Disney+ series Ironheart

This Is Us-actor Lyric Ross is all set to join the cast of Marvel's upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart.

Ironheart, a character created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mike Deodato, was first introduced into Marvel comics in 2016. The series centres on the teenager Riri Williams (played by Dominique Thorne), a genius inventor, who creates the most advanced suit of armour since Iron Man.

The series will also have actor Anthony Ramos playing the role of Williams' friend.

Notably, it was previously announced that Chinaka Hodge will serve as the head writer for the series.

Ross found her breakout role in This is Us, in which she plays Deja Pearson. Her previous TV credits include Sirens and Chicago Fire, while her feature credits include Rogers Park and Canal Street.
