Aaron Pierre on board Blade reboot

CE Features

We had previously reported that Marvel is rebooting Blade starring two-time Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali in the titular character. It's now known that Krypton and The Underground Railroad-fame Aaron Pierre has been roped in for an undisclosed role.

Directed by Bassam Tariq from a script by Stacy Osei-Kuffour, Blade also stars Delroy Lindo. Officially announced at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con, the upcoming film will be the first Blad film to not star Wesley Snipes as the titular character. Snipes starred in Blade (1998), Blade II (2002) and Blade: Trinity (2004).

The new Blade film is currently in the development stage and what's currently known about the film is that it will take place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
