Wonder Twins’ live-action DC film on cards

CE Features

Warner Bros. is making a live-action film on the DC superheroes Wonder Twins. The studio has roped Adam Sztykiel, who has co-written the upcoming Black Adam, to write and direct the feature for HBO Max.

Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Temple Hill, who has produced The Twilight Saga, The Maze Runner, and The Fault in Our Stars will produce the project.

The Wonder Twins are a pair of alien siblings named Zan and Jayna. They gained fame on TV through Hanna-Barbera’s The All-New Super Friends Hour, where they appeared as young companions to adult heroes such as Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. The duo was then a part of the Super Friends comic and, over time, became incorporated into the larger DC universe.

Sztykiel, the famous writer, has a long relationship with the Warner Bros., and he has worked in their films like Due Date, Project X, Spy Guys, We’re the Millers and Dwayne Johnson's Rampage.

He reteamed with Johnson for Black Adam, one of Warners’ major DC films, that will release theatrically on July 29.
