Gemma Arterton, Kirby Howell-Baptiste on board Disney+'s Culprits

Actors Gemma Arterton and Kirby Howell-Baptiste have joined the cast of Disney+'s upcoming series Culprits. The eight-episode series is headlined by Nathan Stewart-Jarrett.

Culprits, one of Disney+'s first UK original series, has J Blakeson (of I Care A Lot-fame) on board to direct the first five episodes while Claire Oakley (of Make Up-fame) will direct the remaining three.

The series is described as a 'dark and funny heist series' that follows the aftermath of a heist, with the crew being picked off one by one by what appears to be a serial killer.

Arterton is set to play Dianne while Howell-Baptiste will play a character called Officer. The cast of the series also includes Niamh Algar, Kamel El Basha, Tara Abboud, Kevin Vidal, Ned Dennehy, and Eddie Izzard.

Culprits is produced by Character 7. Stephen Garrett and Blakeson executive produce for Character 7, while Johanna Devereaux executive produces for Disney+. Morenike Williams is on board as a producer.
