Oscar nominations 2022: Beyonce gets her first nomination with King Richard song Be Alive

Beyonce has got her first Oscar nod with a nomination for Orignal Song. Be Alive, featured in the critically acclaimed film King Richard has been nominated. Along with this, the others to be nominated include Billie Eilish for No Time To Die, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s for Dos Oruguitas from Encanto, Van Morrison for Joy from Belfast, Diane Warren’s for Somehow You Do from Four Good Days

Since the nominations, fans of the pop star have gone into a meltdown on Twitter and have since shared congratulations for Queen Bee. It must be noted that Beyonce's song Spirit for Lion King was shortlisted in 2020, however, it did not make it into the nominations. 

King Richard is a film about Venus and Serena Williams's father Richard and it stars Will Smith in the titular role. The film is also produced by the actor.
