Actor Reese Witherspoon is set to headline an upcoming comedy series All Stars, which will stream on Prime Video. The actor will essay the role of a former cheerleader who will be teaching cheerleading at an England school.

Reese will also executive produce the series along with Lauren Neustadter of Hello Sunshine.

Inspired by Andre Kulberg, who taught cheerleading to teens in the UK, All Stars is a series created by Aline Brosh McKenna. She will also serve as show runner and direct episodes of the All Stars, including the pilot. Along with Reese, she will also executive produce the series. It is to be noted that two seasons of the series has been ordered by Prime Video, while announcement on the release date is awaited.

“I've been looking for a project that brought our Hello Sunshine mission to make women the heroes of their own stories to a younger generation for a long time. When I saw this story, I immediately knew this idea would do just that,” Reese said as per a Collider report.

“The idea of watching an American woman coming to share the very American sport of cheerleading to a group of young women in the UK just made me so excited! I love that this show is filled with real heart, deep joy and the power of teamwork. I can't wait to partner with the brilliant, hilarious, and talented Aline McKenna yet again to create a truly original comedic character, and with the team at Amazon whose passion for this project was unparalleled,” she added.
