Guillermo Del Toro's whose Pinocchio released in Netflix recently, gave an update about his next project and said that his upcoming feature will go on floors from August 2023.

While not much about the plot has been revealed, the filmmaker said that the announcement on the feature will come soon. Del Toro, who also had another Netflix release, in form of horror anthology Cabinet of Curiosities, divulged about the probabilities of it getting a second season.

Speaking to Collider, Del Toro said, "We got the thing I published on Twitter about a billion views, or whatever that is. It is a very mysterious process to get the yes or the no. Either way is good news for me because producing eight features in one year was really, really difficult. I would love to provide another season to get some really interesting people behind the camera, protected, and cherished." Mentioning how he also has a feature to work on, which would further make it harder to work on the anthology, Del Toro said, "I have a feature coming that I will start shooting probably in August, announcement soon to come, and I know it would be very difficult. If they say yes, we'll make the effort and do it, but if they say no, I'll go almost, “Phew.”

The filmmaker also said if at all there would a second season for Cabinet of Curiosities,  he would collaborate with filmmakers like  Jayro Bustamente, Issa Lopez, Boots Riley and Larry Fessenden.
