Hollywood actor Robert De Niro will be featuring in Netflix’s limited series Zero Day. The series is currently in the works at the streaming platform.

According to Variety, the series will be a political thriller from Eric Newman and Noah Oppenheim. While not much about the plot is made known at this moment, it is believed that Robert will essay the role of a former US President in the series.

The upcoming series will be written and executive produced by Eric and Noah. They have also written the story along with Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Schmidt. It is also the first time for Robert to do a regular television role. The actor, will also executive produce the show along with the creators and Jonathan Glickman of Panoramic Media.

It is to be noted that Eric has previously worked with Netflix for hit series Narcos. He had executive produced, wrote and was the showrunner of the series. He also became the showrunner for the follow-up series Narcos: Mexico.
