Streaming giants like Apple+, Netflix, and Hulu are reportedly showing interest in buying the cancelled Batman: Caped Crusader show. Later this week, Warner Bros announced that they will not be moving forward with Batman: Caped Crusader animated series.

The announcement follows a list of cancellations at Warner Bros, reportedly due to David Zaslav’s ascension as the new CEO of the studio. Batgirl, Supergirl, and Driftwood are some of the projects that recently faced the axe at Warner Bros.

Batman: Caped Crusader was being developed by Bruce Timm, who rose to prominence as the creator of the hit 90’s TV show Batman: The Animated Show and for directing the 1993 animated film Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.

JJ Abrams, the director of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, Matt Reeves, and Ed Brubaker were all part of the cancelled project. Following news about the cancellations, the makers announced that the production is still going in full swing and that they were optimistic about the show moving to other streaming platforms.
