The official poster for the upcoming western film Dead for a Dollar has been released online. Captioned “Vengeance for the right price.” The poster promises loads of gritty gunslinging action. The film stars Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe and winner Christoph Waltz. Walter Hill, known for directing The Warriors, 48 Hrs., Last Man Standing, and several episodes of the critically acclaimed neo-western series Deadwood, is helming the project. 
 

Set in 1897, the film follows bounty hunter Max Borlund, played by Christoph Waltz, as he is hired to track down the kidnapped wife of a wealthy businessman. Willem Dafoe plays an outlaw gambler named Joe Cribbens, who aims to exact vengeance upon bounty hunter Borlund for sending him to jail years ago.

The film is set to premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival, where the veteran filmmaker will be honoured with the Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker Award. Dead for a Dollar is scheduled for a theatrical release on 30 September 2022.
