CE Features

Jesse Eisenberg is set star in, write and direct a new film called A Real Pain. The project is said to revolve around the complicated relationship that exists between two cousins. Kieran Culkin of Succession fame has joined the project to play one of the leads.

A Real Pain is set to begin filming in Warsaw in March 2023 and would tell the story of "two estranged cousins who travel to Poland after their grandmother dies to see where she came from and end up joining a Holocaust tour."

Eisenberg will portray one of the cousins alongside Kieran. The former plans to make a gradual transition to behind the screen jobs and stick to direction. Despite his desire to move into full-time filmmaking, Eisenberg is reportedly excited to act in A Real Pain.

The film will be produced by production firm, Fruit Tree owned by Dave McCary, Emma Stone and Ali Herting.

A Real Pain does not have a release date yet.
