The Boys season 4 starts filming in Toronto

The hit Amazon Prime series The Boys has begun production for its next season. The R-rated superhero show recently wrapped up its season 3. The show received critical praise for its subversive and satirical take on the superhero genre. The Boys is an adaptation of the comic book series of the same name, created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The television adaptation was developed for Amazon Prime Video by Eric Kripke and executive produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

The show stars Jack Quaid, Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Chace Crawford, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, and Karen Fukuhara. The cast members were seen posting pictures on social media after reaching Toronto, Canada.

The third season ended with Butcher’s (Karl Urban) son ending up with Homelander and embracing his powers. The upcoming season will reportedly focus more on the son Ryan, played by Cameron Crovetti. Jenson Ackles, most notable for his role in Supernatural, was introduced as Soldier Boy in season 3. Reports suggest that the actor is set to return for season 4 possibly even beyond that.

With the principal cast confirmed to return for the new season, the makers are yet to announce any new addition to the cast. With the filming just beginning, The Boys is expected to return during the first half of 2023.
