The first set of looks from the upcoming fifth season of series Cobra Kai, has been released by the streaming platform Netflix, on social media on Wednesday.

Cobra Kai, starring Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, is a spin-off series to The Karate Kid franchise that follows the competitive world of martial arts in Southern California. Set after 34 years, the story follows the reopening of the Cobra Kai karate dojo by Johnny Lawrence (Zabka) and the rekindling of his old rivalry with Daniel LaRusso (Macchio).

The shooting of the fifth season has been wrapped up. It will premiere on September 9. The season will feature actors Randee Heller, Yuji Okumoto, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Peyton List, and Rose Bianco, among others.

Cobra Kai initially premiered on YouTube channel in 2018 as original series, before it was acquired by Netflix in 2020.
