A limited series based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book, All the Light We Cannot See, has been greenlit by Netflix.

The four-episode limited series will be directed by Shawn Levy, and written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.

Based on the Anthony Doerr book, All the Light We Cannot See is about Marie-Laure, a teenager who is blind, and Werner, a German soldier, whose paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive the devastation of World War II.

The makers have announced a worldwide casting call for the lead roles, encouraging blind or low-vision actors to apply for the part.

Levy's 21 Laps Entertainment, known for their work in Stranger Things, will back this limited series.
