M Night Shyamalan's Old to release in India on September 17

The film, which was released in the US and other counties earlier this July, was met with a mixed critical reception

M Night Shyamalan's latest directorial venture, the supernatural thriller, Old, will be hitting screens in India this Friday.

Based on the graphic novel, Sandcastle by Pierre Oscar Levy and Frederik Peeters, the film tells the story of a couple of families who find themselves aging at a shockingly rapid pace when they visit a deserted beach. 

The film, which was released in the US and other counties earlier this July, was met with a mixed critical reception and has grossed over $85 million worldwide so far. In addition to directing Old, Shyamalan has written the screenplay and co-produced the film with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock. 

The film features an ensemble cast that includes Gael Garcia Bernal, Rufus Sewell, Kathleen Chalfant, Alexa Swinton, Alex Wolf, Nolan River, Kylie Begley, Eliza Scanlen, and Thomasin McKenzie, to name a few.

Produced by Perfect World Pictures and Blinding Edge Pictures, Old will release in English and Hindi.
